The Labels feature allows you to apply flexible, non-exclusive tags to articles. Unlike the “Move to” function, applying a label does not change the article’s physical location; it simply associates a keyword or category with it.
Purpose: labels help tag articles with multiple relevant keywords or categories, making filtering, searching and cross-referencing easier – without altering their primary folder location. Labels also serve as a tool for categorising content. Some labels are system-defined (e.g. Archive) and cannot be deleted. This section also acts as the central hub for managing all available labels.
Search for a Label #
Use the search bar at the top of the dialog to quickly find an existing label by typing its name. (See screenshot below)
Select existing labels #
Click on any of the listed labels (e.g. “Price reductions”) to apply them to the selected articles.

Create a new Label #
- Enter the label name
- Type the desired name for your new label in the Enter Label Name field.
- Select a parent label (optional)
- Use the dropdown menu to assign a parent label, if applicable.
- Selecting No Parent Label creates a standalone (top-level) label.
- Choosing an existing label as a parent will nest the new label under it as a sub-label.
- Click Create to save the new label.
- If needed, click Cancel to discard the process.
This feature allows you to create structured label hierarchies, improving clarity and organisation across your folders and categories.
